How Schools Can (And Should) Be Changing in the Fall

With summer finally upon us, it’s only natural that people have begun to ask what school will look like when (if?) we return in the fall.

Though a number of recurring themes have emerged (outdoor learning, family-style dining, more virtual learning), I have to admit…I’ve been disappointed not to see more innovative paths forward being proposed.

On episode 23 of the Vocabbett podcast, I share an idea for a new model that might gain traction in a post-COVID world — a model which could benefit students from ALL socioeconomic backgrounds.

I don’t have all the answers. However, it would be an incredible mistake not to take a step back during this time and examine our education system as a whole. Right now, we seem determined only to make coronavirus-inspired tweaks to the existing model!
